Emily Harper
Emily Harper is a Masters of Social Work Intern who is providing services under the supervision of Rachel Handa, the Clinical Director and a Primary Therapist. Emily was born and raised in Tustin, California and has a strong passion for helping others. Emily recently received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication from California State University Long Beach. Emily is currently enrolled and working on completion of her Master’s Degree of Social Work at CSULB. In her graduate program she will be actively involved in two different field internships where she will continue to develop her skills working with individuals, families, groups, and a variety of organizations. The Master of Social Work (MSW) program at CSULB is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and prepares the graduates to serve as professional social workers who excel in all levels of practice in both economically and socially diverse environments. Emily has previously worked in Addiction with adolescents at The Hope Institute. Emily is eager and passionate to help those struggling with addiction and substance use disorders and help clients regain a positive sense of self again. This is encouraged through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, KICS for Solutions Recovery, and other evidence-based and strength-based care philosophies.
